Mumbai: In the past, railway authorities have claimed to have made efforts to clean up the garbage on suburban tracks but nothing ever came of it.Right now officials said that they have been working with the staff to see how the clean-up marshal can be sent on the track, an official said, "Clean-up marshals have largely been seen on the roads and no one anywhere has actually tried Aluminum air grill Manufacturers of putting them on the railway tracks, but now the intention is to make sure that the commuters and people who live near the tracks are made aware of this problem. Central Railway (CR) now plans to appoint clean-up marshals on the lines of those in the BMC."
The Asian Age had also reported that the railway sees around 400 kgs of trash coming into the city via long distance trains across the country.This year, none of the CR stations featured in the top 10 cleanest stations in the country. They will be deployed by the railway to fine commuters who litter or dump garbage on the tracks and near platforms.
